My teaching philosophy

I believe that educating the individual empowers students to reach their full potential. As a teacher, my goal is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.  Fostering a safe environment is most important to me. I aim to provide a space where students feel motivated, partake in questioning, explore contemporary ideas, think critically, and have a sense of belonging. Additionally, I foster a classroom community where students respect differing opinions and collaborate.  I strive to engage students by connecting our curriculum to real-world issues.  I do this by varying my instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.  I give the students opportunities to display content mastery through different mediums. As an educator, I am committed to inspiring and guiding students on their educational journey.  This is done by equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the world around them.
